Darcia was originally born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, moving to Port Saint Lucie, Florida at the age of 12. Her interest in understanding and supporting others began in high school resulting in Darcia obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the University of West Florida, and her Master’s in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University. Being raised by immigrant parents who made sacrifices and extended immense support to her, it drove Darcia to strive, overcome, and grow into the person she wanted to be, and then become an advocate for others to do the same no matter what their circumstances are. Darcia always promotes authenticity, transparency, and connection.
She began her career interning in a private practice working with a variety of individuals and issues, and interning in a community mental health center helping adults and children with severe mental health. Darcia continued on working for a drug treatment facility aiding adults who struggle with substance abuse and co-occuring disorders. Through these experiences Darcia has been able to work with clients dealing with but not limited to Histrionic Personality disorder, Bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, relationships, self esteem/self worth, and trauma.
In her leisure time, Darcia loves to travel and gain new experiences. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and trying all the best dining places as she dubs herself a “foodie”. Darcia always welcomes anything that involves relaxing or creating wonderful memories.
Darcia is a Level III Master Level Licensed Therapist (LMHC). For more information on how to apply or to see other reduced cost options for a different level of clinician, please visit our financial assistance page.
